Liquid Gases
LIQUID GAS
The most economical way to supply “medium” quantities is to transport them as cryogenic liquefied or compressed gases in tankers.
Our products are made available to you in on-site insulated storage tanks with vaporisers or pressure vessels. If your needs are associated with medium/high gas consumption or the use of low temperatures in production processes, then liquid cryogenic gases are the right choice.
TYPES OF CRYOGENIC GASES
Ar
LIQUID ARGON
Argon (Ar) is a colourless, tasteless and odourless noble gas, present in the air with a percentage of less than 1%. It is chemically inert and therefore non-toxic. Argon becomes liquid at a temperature of minus 185.90 degrees Celsius, under normal conditions it is always gas. Argon in liquid form is used for transportation only and before use is transferred to a gaseous state.
Gaseous and liquid argon is used as a shielding gas for welding, cutting and melting of metals and alloys based on them, aluminium, aluminium and magnesium alloys, stainless chromium-nickel heat-resistant alloys and alloy steels of various grades, as well as for refining metals in metallurgy.

LIQUID HELIUM
Liquid helium very cold liquid – 269C. Helium’s special properties make it indispensable for many applications – for example, as a lifting gas for balloons and airships, as a shielding gas for welding, as a tracer gas for leak detection or as a carrier gas in gas chromatography.

CLOSECO₂
LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE / GOURMET C
The special properties of carbon dioxide include its inertness and its high solubility in water. Carbon dioxide gives beverages their sparkling freshness, is used in the treatment of drinking water and provides an alternative to aggressive acids for wastewater neutralization. In cryogenic, liquid and solid form, CO2 turns into dry ice, which is suitable for use as a refrigerant or as a cleaning medium (for dry ice blasting).

O₂
LIQUID OXYGEN / GOURMET O
The most important property of oxygen is its reactivity. There are very few elements with which oxygen will not react. Oxidation and combustion processes are speeded up significantly in an oxygen-enriched atmosphere, when compared with normal air. This property makes oxygen indispensable for the metabolism of many organisms, which is why it is used in a large number of water treatment and environmental technology applications.

LIQUID NITROGEN / GOURMET N
At normal ambient temperatures, nitrogen is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas. Under atmospheric pressure, nitrogen is liquid at a temperature of -196 °C. When it comes into contact with air, it absorbs oxygen from it. At -209.86 °C, nitrogen transforms into a solid state in the form of a snow-like mass or large snow-white crystals. Upon contact with air, it absorbs oxygen from it, while melting, forming a solution of oxygen in nitrogen.
Liquid nitrogen is a unique product that is used in many industries, for example:
- cosmetology (for cosmetic effects on the skin)
- donor centres (for the preservation of biological material)
- cryotherapy in cryosaunas
- cooling parts before mounting in the “tightness”
- pharmacology (in the manufacture of drugs)
- cooling of a magnet of a nuclear magnetic resonator (together with liquid helium)
- food industry (for cooling products and the production of ice cream)
- entertainment industry (for special effects). After use, it is returned to the atmosphere unchanged.
